A magnificent one-hundred-blessing tripod is set on Fushou Square. It is back against the green mountain and faces clear water. The emperor’s chair shaped tripod draws anima of the earth and gather the blessing vain of Chenzhou city. It is 10.099meters high- 9+9 means 18th blessing place and 10.0 means one hundred blessings. It weighs 56tons which means unite of 56 nations of China. Its caliber is 6.6metrs which means “double 6, everything goes smoothly, prosperity of China and unity of China.” 900 characters of “福”(Fu) with different shape and size are casted on the body of this tripod which have three meanings: first, Baifu (one hundred blessings) sounds like Beihu; second, nine is the largest number, so 900 means the maximum blessing gathered in Beihu; third, characters of “福”(Fu) casted on the four sides of tripod are followed the specification and arrangement which extends the meaning “the 18th blessing place of China.” This Chinese one-hundred-blessing tripod was designed by Professor Lu Yintao who is famous as “the king of tripod” and is the researcher of Shanghai Communications University. Furthermore, some famous people as Yuan Longping- the father of hybrid rice, Li Li- a famous seal cutting expert, Yu Guangyuan- a famous scientist, and etc. inscribed there. It is the largest tripod with most “福” characters and widest representative calligraphy of福” character in the world.
